A two-story, 4,900 sq. ft. building with partial basement. The main floor houses dental offices, while the second floor houses a dental lab, private offices, and employee break room. The building is located on the site of the original Bush property caretaker’s house. A 100 year-old Salem Heritage Tree created design challenges in protecting the substantial beech tree during construction as well as co-existing side by side well into the future. The building foundation system was designed around the root system in order to maintain the tree while still fully utilizing the small site. The building was designed with the historic character of the neighborhood in mind.
